Bike & Hike Kauns - Aifner Spitze

“The biking & hiking tour from Kauns to the Kleine Aifner Spitze (2,558 m) or Hohe Aifner Spitze (2,779 m) is still one of my favourite training routes for staying fit and healthy. To embark on this route, you start out on your bike from Apart Bieles on the Auchtweg to Untergaiswies-Obergaiswies-Falpaus at Kaunerberg to the Aifner Alm. Once there, you continue on foot to the Kleine or Hohe Aifner Spitze, where you have an absolutely breathtaking view!”

Hike to Kaltenbrunn

Degree of difficulty: easy
Walking time: 3 hours (there & back)

“I love the beautiful pilgrimage route to the pilgrimage church in Kaltenbrunn. It’s a round trip of 9.12 km following the pilgrimage route on the hiking trail. The church in Kaltenbrunn can be found in a particularly beautiful location. You will have the chance to delight in regional delicacies at the cosy inn next to the church.”

Gallruthalm (1,980 m) – Stollenwanderung

“One of Otto's favourite tours was the circular hike through the thrilling Gallruthstollen and the magnificent mountain landscape along the Angerer Höhenweg. It’s a pleasant walk through a fantastic mountain forest to the tunnel entrance. The 996-metre-long tunnel is a true highlight! After the tunnel, you hike uphill through the larch meadows to the Gallruthalm.”
